Objectives:

 

To highlight the beauties and value of gemstones of all qualities;

To offer a short but high quality costume jewellery training using simple tools and materials;
To allow the students to know the different techniques to create costume jewels
To teach students different techniques of costume jewellery creation

 

Contents of the program:

 

Presentation of the traditional tools and the structure of necklaces, concept of design and design;

Realization of several styles and types of necklaces;

Technique of the chain, ring, bracelet and earrings making;

Technique of the rolled up rings, stringing, bunch style, charm, and any tendency;

Creation and design.

Do not require an expensive equipment - the equipment and all the materials required for the training are provided by IGM;

Diversity of the raw materials;

Ability to produce jewelleries and to set up a decent costume jewellery workshop after the training;

Prospects for the certified students:

 

To round out their knowledge and activities on stones;

Creation and sale of different varieties and styles of jewelleries on artisanal or industrial scale

At the end of the course, the students will be able to make several types of jewelleries - traditional, modern, and ethnic - with several variations.

They will also be able to carry out repairs or modifications on jewelleries.

The modules:

 

Costume Jewellery Initiation:

Duration: 2 weeks

Schedule: 9am to 12.00 and 2pm to 4pm from Monday to Friday

 

Costume Jewellery Advanced:

Duration: 1 week

Schedule: 8am to 12.00 and 1pm to 4pm from Monday to Friday
