Gem Show "Madagasikara Gem Market" - December


 

 

1ers ETATS GENERAUX INTERNATIONAUX DE LA GEMMOLOGIE


From January 19 to 21, 2012 will be held in Paris, at the Annual Symposium of the FEEG and the 50 years old of ING, First Estates General of the InternationalGemological. During these three days, over 200 professionals on gemology from all over Europe will gather in the magnificent auditorium of the National Institute of History of Art around a rich gemology program of lectures, research, marketing, jewelry, new treatments,  and certification.

The 2010 FGA Exam results have been published with excellent results


Beyound our expectations, the success rates are: 100% in the Foundation, 92% in the Diploma Practical tests and 50% in the final Diploma Theorical tests.

LAPIDAIRY COMPETITION

Region Analamanga - DIANA - SAVA - Vakinankaratra


The lapidary competition organised for the Analamanga, DIANA, SAVA and Vaninankaratra Regions is held at the IGM lapidary workshop between August 09 and August 10 2010. 12 competitors are in line, and the first five of them will run for the national lapidary competition on the 29th and 30th of November 2010.

IGM and its partners organise a monthly gem show and market where gemstones, jewelleries and lapidary materials are put up for display and for sale. This event is held every first Friday and Saturday of each month, from 09:00 to 17:00 at the Bibliothèque National at Anosy.

 

IGM is present at the gem show to test the gemstones and to help buyers build their confidence in the gemstone industry in Madagascar.

Two scholarship students of the "IGM Foundation" have been recruited to work in South Africa.


Dera RAHANIRAKA and Camara Tahiry RAJAONARINIAINA, both former students of IGM, have been recruited to work as teachers for the "Jewellery Center Academy" in South Africa.

 

Camara was choosen and introduced by the « Collectif des Organisations des

Personnes Handicapées, C.O.P.H ».

NATIONAL LAPIDAIRY COMPETITION



Being amongst the active promoters of the gemstone sector in Madagascar, IGM organises annually a lapidary competition and for the first time, the competition reaches a national level. Professionals and amateurs residing in Madagascar are all invited to participate.
